GOING TO THE SALON DURING COVID-19

TIPS FOR GOING TO THE SALON DURING A PANDEMIC (COVID-19)

Now we’ve been locked up on and off for approximately months or even longer depending on where you are in the states. And, different cities are being opened back up and trust me, I know you are grateful (and so am I). However, there is a lot of uncertainty about different business opening, including salons. Salons are different from other business as regularly there is little to no social distancing. So you have to take matters into your own hand and be safe out there.

Here are few tips for going to the salon during a pandemic:

1. MASK UP –
I know you have heard this a lot.
And we wouldn’t be doing our part if we didn’t reiterate the fact that you need to wear you mask. Your mask should not be worn on your chin. It should cover both your nose and mouth. Why? The virus spreads from and to these various body parts. And as such, we must keep it covered to prevent ourselves from getting it. As well as, prevent us from spreading it.

2. WALK WITH HAND SANITIZER -
As soon as you step food into the hand salon, put on some hand sanitizer.
You can use your own sanitizer you brought form your house if the salon doesn’t have any or if you’re skeptical about their own. As well as, you can use their own if you do not have one on hand. The hand sanitizer will keep at bay any germs, virus or bacteria that you may have brought into the salon at bay. Therefore, limiting the spread of it all.

3. ASK YOUR STYLIST WHAT ARE HER COVID SAFETY PLANS -
Before you head to your favourite salon, call them up and ask what are there COVID safety procedures. You need to know what they are doing to keep their customers, workers, and business place safe. Ask them about hand sanitizer stations, how often do they clean the chairs, are clean tools being used in everyone’s hair, are the stylists wearing glove and so much more.

4. CLEAN THE SEAT BEFORE YOU SIT ON IT -
This tip goes hand in hand with tip #3.
If your salon doesn’t clean the seat, ensure that you clean it yourself! Or you do a double cleanse to ensure that there are no germs transferring to your body or clothes when you sit there. And then after you are finished, clean it again. This is for next person to keep them safe by not letting your germs transfer to them.

As much as different business places are employing safety protocols amidst the current pandemic, you as customers can do your part as well. You must walk with your proper form of sanitization to keep the area that you occupy clean before you enter and after your keeve it as well. You will not only be looking out for yourself but the next person as well.
